Is Zine Maker free?

Yes. You can create, layout, and download your zine for free.

Do I need an account to use it?

You can start without one. Sign in or create an account to save drafts to your journal.

Can I import poems from my journal account?

Yes. In Step 2, use the import option to pull in poems from your fouuund.it journal.

What sizes and page counts are supported?

US Letter and A4, in 4, 8, and 12-page formats.

Can I build a zine on mobile?

Zine Maker is desktop-only. For best results, create and export from a desktop browser.

What’s the final file I get from Zine Maker?

You’ll download a print-ready PDF formatted for double-sided printing. The print file may look a little scrambled on screen, but it’s designed to fold into a finished zine.

How do I print my Zine file?

HOW TO PRINT YOUR ZINE

Your download is a print-ready PDF designed for double-sided printing.
It may look scrambled on screen. This is expected. It will print and fold correctly.

ADOBE ACROBAT (MAC AND WINDOWS)

Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Reader
Go to File > Print
Select your printer
Enable: Print on both sides of paper
Set page handling:
Orientation: Landscape
Scale: Actual Size or 100%
Set duplex:
Flip on short edge
Click Print

Notes:

  • Duplex printing means printing on both sides of the page
  • For landscape booklet-style files, use “flip on short edge” to keep pages upright

PREVIEW (MAC)

Open the PDF in Preview
Press Command + P
Click Show Details
Set:
Orientation: Landscape
Scale: 100%
In Layout:
Two-Sided: On
Flip on short edge
Click Print

BROWSER (CHROME, SAFARI, EDGE)

Open the PDF
Press Command + P (Mac) or Ctrl + P (Windows)
Open More Settings
Set:
Orientation: Landscape
Scale: 100%
Two-sided / Duplex: On
Flip on short edge
Click Print

If options are limited, use “Print using system dialog” for full controls.

IF DOUBLE-SIDED IS NOT AVAILABLE

Your printer may not support automatic duplex printing. You can print manually:

Manual double-sided printing:

  • Print all pages (front side only)
  • Reinsert the printed pages into the tray
  • Print all pages again (back side)

Test with 2–4 pages first to confirm orientation.
