Each day, a new public-domain text becomes the shared source for writing on fouuund.it. You can use this text across different modes to create poems through selection, deletion, and recombination.
fouuund.it currently includes two modes: Blackout and Haiku. Blackout encourages mindfulness and close reading by removing words to reveal new meaning. Haiku offers a faster, more kinetic way to play with language through structure and rhythm. Both are designed to work across devices and for writers of all ages.
When you cannot find the words, sometimes it helps to start with someone else’s. Public-domain texts invite endless reinterpretation and new meaning. They belong to everyone and provide a shared starting point for creativity, learning, and play.
Don’t worry it’s not AI. All daily texts are hand-curated from public archives such as Project Gutenberg and the Library of Congress. Each excerpt is selected to be authentic, remix-ready, and classroom-friendly.
Yes. You own everything you create on fouuund.it. Your poems are yours to keep, download, share, or publish anywhere.
Yes. Your digital journal is private by default. Poems saved to your journal are visible only to you unless you choose to share them to the community feed or export them elsewhere.
You can write poems without an account. An account is only required if you want to save your work, track streaks, or share poems with others on the feed.
The feed is a place to read poems shared by others and leave a little love. It is designed to be lightweight and supportive, focused on the work rather than performance.
Yes. You can delete poems from your journal at any time. Expand the row and select “delete poem.”
Yes. fouuund.it is free to use.
Yes. fouuund.it works on both desktop and mobile browsers.
We collect only what is needed to run and improve the site, such as account email if you sign up and basic usage data. We do not sell your data or spam your inbox. Honestly, email marketing is exhausting and we aspire not to do it at all.
Yes. fouuund.it is designed to be classroom-friendly and accessible for writers of all ages. Set up your own poem LAN party.
Yes. Your poems are yours, including for commercial use. If you want to use fouuund.it itself as part of a paid product or service, please contact us first.
